Prevention

As a practice, we are true believers that preventative care and education are the keys to optimal dental health.   After we deliver a prosthesis, we want to see you for routine check-up visits to ensure you are doing what is necessary to maintain the prosthesis. At routine annual check-ups, we evaluate the overall health of your teeth and gingiva, perform an oral cancer screening exam, and take radiographs when necessary.  In addition, at a check-up, one of our hygienists performs a thorough dental cleaning and reinforces the oral hygiene practices you need to maintain or improve your dental condition. Not only are we focused on the beauty of your smile, we’re also concerned about your health.  A review of your medical history can help us stay informed of your overall health, any new medications, and any illnesses that may impact your dental health.
